The NCA-1031, powered by the Intel Atom x7-E3950 or x5-E3930 processor, is a desktop form factor network appliance designed for entry-level network security, gateway or vCPE. Intel’s Atom E3900 series CPUs aim to handle the rapid and ever growing complexity of network infrastructures by delivering the much needed compute performance and power efficiency for edge security deployment.

As a vCPE for such deployment scenario, the NCA-1031, built upon x86 open architecture, offers flexibility for running various software. In addition to the nimble and robust CPU, the NCA-1031 also features 6x or 5x GbE RJ45 Ethernet ports, 1x RJ45 console port, 2x pairs of generation 3 bypass (by SKU), dual USB 3.0 ports, 1x HDMI and 1x mini-PCIe socket (by SKU). In terms of system memory, the platform supports up to 8GB of DDR3L Non-ECC SO-DIMM.
