ALPS – Waterproof Detector Switch for Automotive Applications
With the SPVQ7 series, ALPS ELECTRIC EUROPE GmbH offers waterproof detector switches for automotive applications. The horizontally actuated switches are remarkable for their compact dimensions of 14.7mm x 5.4mm x 6.7mm (W x D x H) and long operating life of 300,000 switching cycles. Conceived as 1-pole 2-position or 1-pole 1-position switches, the SPVQ7 series is rated for switching currents of maximal 0.1A at 12VDC or 50µA at 5VDC respectively. The necessary operating force accounts for 1±0.5N.
The detector switches are available with left and right side boss. Depending on the version they can be mounted directly on a circuit board or are equipped with solder terminals. Operating temperatures range from –40°C to +85°C. The other specifications include a maximum initial contact resistance of 500mΩ, an insulation resistance higher than 100MΩ at 500V, and a voltage proof of up to 500VAC for one minute.The SPVQ7 series is suitable for lead-free reflow soldering and meets the RoHS (Restriction on Hazardous Substances) directives.
