Bias-Ts can handle multiple 20kA (8/20μs) lighting strikes
Designed for installation close to base receiving stations or near to the antenna, the 3410.41.0038 and 3410.41.0039 Bias-Ts have been introduced by HUBER+SUHNER. The devices, which cover the full 690 to 2700MHz LTE bandwidth, inject or extract DC power into or out of a coaxial cable with the appropriate DC voltage and current. As well as LTE installations, the Bias-Ts support GSM and UMTS cellular installations.
Varistors combine circuit protection & EMI/RFI attenuation
Combining circuit protection and EMI/RFI attenuation functions in a single device, the VR20 varistors have been released by AVX. The TransGuard automotive devices are based on the company’s patented multilayer varistor technology, which provides bi-directional transient voltage protection in the on-state and EMI/RFI attenuation in the off-state.
LNAs enable small cells, macro base stations & DAS
The GRF2051 and GRF2052 LNAs, which are optimised for frequency ranges of 1700-2700MHz and 2300-3800MHz, respectively, have been released by Guerrilla RF. Featuring adjustable current, external matching and flexible Vdd, the LNAs support a wide range of infrastructure devices including high performance small cell LNAs, macro base station LNAs, DAS and general purpose LNAs.
AEG to supply battery chargers for Deutsche Bahn
AEG Power Solutions has won a contract from Bombardier Transportation to supply on-board battery chargers, inverters and DC/DC converters for electric locomotives ordered by Deutsche Bahn.
Functional test service on parade at IPC APEX EXPO
Single- and double-sided flying probe testers will be the centerpiece of ACD’s stand at the IPC APEX EXPO in San Diego (Feb. 24-26). The company’s assembly business model supports high-mix, high-technology assembly from prototypes through low-to-mid volume production to offer its customers confidence in receiving quality, defect free assemblies.
Automotive thin film chip resistor family extended
Now available in 0402 and 1206 case sizes, the PATT precision automotive thin film chip resistor family has been extended by Vishay Intertechnology. The devices are offered with gold-plated terminals for conventional solder assembly and conductive glueable board mount technologies, as well as high-temperature operation to +155°C with 100% power dissipation, derated linearly to +250°C.
Varistors exhibit a low leakage current of less than 1µA
A series of automotive varistors, which exhibit a low leakage current of less than 1µA at 32VDC, 25°C, has been released by AVX. Tested, qualified and specified at 150°C, the CANATL varistors are particularly suitable for use in high temperature underhood automotive applications, such as transmission control units, brake control modules, data lines and bus interface units.
Inductors suit commercial & automotive applications
Providing a wide range of inductance values from 0.22 to 15µH, Vishay has announced two IHLP high-current inductors in the 2020 case size. The IHLP-2020CZ-51 and automotive-grade IHLP-2020CZ-5A are suited for voltage regulator modules and DC/DC converters in high-temperature commercial and automotive applications.
Nut plates & gaskets available for size 02 connectors
Lane Motorsport has added a wide selection of connector accessories, manufactured by Weald Electronics, to its the product portfolio. The company have added Weald’s nut plates and gaskets to its portfolio, which is centred around the Souriau 8STA compact circular connector family.
Pulsed amplifier suits air traffic control & radar
Designed for civil air traffic control and weather radar applications, M/A-COM Technology Solutions has introduced a high power pulsed amplifier. The S-band device operates from 2.7 to 3GHz and features 7W of pulsed power and 23dB small signal gain in a 6mm PQFN 28-lead SMT package.
