A VCO, suitable for a variety of applications, has been introduced by Crystek. The CVCO55CC-2756-2756, which is suitable for use in digital radio equipment, fixed wireless access, satellite communications systems and base stations, operates at 2756MHz, with a control voltage range of 0.5-4.5V.

The VCO features a typical phase noise of -116dBc/Hz at 10KHz offset and output power of +4 dBm, and operates from -40 to +90°C.The CVCO55CC-2756-2756, which is engineered and manufactured in the USA, is packaged in the industry-standard 0.5x0.5" SMD package.

The input voltage of the VCO is 5V, with a maximum current consumption of 40mA. Pulling and Pushing when using the VCO are minimised to 1MHz and 0.2MHz/V, while second harmonic suppression is typically -15dBc.
