A VCO, which operates at 2265 to 2280MHz with a tuning voltage range of 0.5 to 4.5VDC, has been released by Z-Communications. The CRO2273B-LF features a spectrally clean signal of -115dBc/Hz at 10kHz offset and covers the band with a typical tuning sensitivity of 4MHz/V.

The CRO2273B-LF is suited for microwave radio and basestation applications that require low phase noise performance.

The device is designed to deliver +3dBm of nominal output power into a 50Ω load while operating off a 5VDC supply and drawing typically 20mA of current. The low noise VCO operates over the extended commercial temperature range of -40 to 85ºC. The CRO2273B-LF features typical second harmonic suppression of -15dBc and comes in Z-Comm's standard, MINI-16-SM package measuring 12.7x12.7x5.58mm.

The CRO2273B-LF is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements making it suitable for automated surface mount assembly and reflow.
