Saelig has introduced a range of oscillators from Euroquartz that offer wide operating temperature range, femtosecond integrated phase jitter, and superior phase-noise performance. The XON91 and XON53 oscillators are available in frequencies from 1.25MHz to 60MHz and are capable of withstanding temperatures from -55degC to +125degC. Phase jitter is typically 500fs from 12kHz to 20MHz.

The XON91 series devices are available in 7mm x 5mm x 1.8mm surface-mount packages, while the XON53 devices come in 5m x 3.2mm x 1.2mm miniature housings, both featuring a standard 4-pad layout.

Ideal for use in a wide range of applications, including military COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) projects and industrial control systems, these new oscillators offer stability of up to ±50ppm over the specified operating temperature range with excellent phase noise performance (from -85dB/Hz typical at 10Hz to -155dB/Hz at 10MHz).

Versions of both ranges are available for operation from 1.8, 2.5, 3.3 and 5V supplies with current consumption as low as 7mA depending on frequency. Additional specifications include rise times of 7ns or 10ns maximum depending on supply voltage, 15pF load, start-up time of 5 or 10ms depending on frequency and aging of ±2ppm maximum for first year.
