Rakon has a strong heritage in the space industry and is the Ultra Stable Oscillator supplier of choice with over 50 Flight Models flying for twenty years in prestigious international space programs: SAR-Lupe, ARGOS- 3, Satcom BW, AMOS-4, Alphabus and HTV. As recently as February 25, 2013 the Indo-French oceanographic study satellite SARAL was successfully launched carrying two independent payloads, ARGOS-3 and AltiKa, that use Rakon’s Ultra stable oscillators and Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillators!
With the support of the CNES (Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales is the French space agency), Rakon is now finalizing its new USO which is 3 times smaller (100x94x55mm format) and lighter and with the same level of performance as its predecessor!

Available at 10 MHz and 5 MHz, one the remarkable features of this model is its tight frequency stability over temperature of ± 0.05 ppb under vacuum. The RK 410 also delivers improved frequency aging stability of ± 10 ppb per year with power consumption at steady state of 3W under vacuum. The AV (Allan Variance) variant of the Mini USO has a short term stability of 5.10-13 at 1 and 10 s.

It is available with a Sub-D 15 connector and is manufactured in accordance with MIL-PRF-55310 (Class 1, type 4, level S).

The RK 410 Mini Ultra Stable Oscillator is designed for Master Clocks, Navigation and Positioning Systems. It is used in such applications as GPS receivers, digital cards, board calculators, down and up converters, and synthesizers.
