New 8-pin dual-in-line (DIL) models have been added to the Euroquartz range of military specification crystal oscillators designed for use in applications that require high reliability. The new 8-pin DIL EQXO-2000BM series clock oscillators complement the 14-pin DIL models – EQXO-1000BMK and EQXO-3000BMK –launched earlier this year and incorporate a custom-designed quartz crystal and a CMOS/TTL compatible hybrid circuit on a ceramic substrate.

Manufactured using the latest advances in production technology, these oscillators are capable of achieving tight frequency calibration tolerance and high stability over a wide temperature range.

Frequency range is from 30kHz to 70MHz with calibration tolerance of ±10 to ±25ppm at 25°C and frequency stability of ±100 or ±50ppm over the full military temperature range from -55 to +125°C.

The high reliability ceramic substrate is housed in an industry standard 8-pin DIL size oscillator package with four pins and a ruggedised three-point crystal mounting system within a hermetically sealed metal package.

Additional specifications include ageing of ±3ppm maximum in first year, symmetry of 45%/55% and standard 5.0V DC supply voltage (other voltages on request). Standard output is CMOS, 50pF/10 TTL loads with other outputs available to special order.

Ideal for upper atmosphere, aerospace, defence and other applications where high-reliability clock oscillators are required, the new EQXO-2000BM crystal oscillators can be screened to MIL-O-55310C, class B if required.

Radiation tolerant EQXO-2000BMH versions will withstand ionising radiation to resist electrical failures for a total radiation dose of 40krad(SI).
