At the PowerGen Europe 2016 in Milan from 21 to 23rd June, Wieland Thermal Solutions will present in hall 3 on booth HA5 heat transfer solutions for process and machinery and plant technology. Considerable improvements in energy efficiency, a better capacity utilisation and an increasingly compact design can be achieved with enhanced surface tubes, safety tubes and heat exchangers exactly designed to customers’ needs.

At the trade fair, Wieland Thermal Solutions will showcase current solutions for the increase in equipment efficiency for power plant technology as well as for the the oil, gas and petrochemical industries. GEWA-PB evaporator tubes have in the meantime proved successful in ethylene production as well as natural gas liquefaction.

For Geothermal applications, Wieland Thermal Solutions will show the Turbo EPT evaporator tube, especially designed to improve the efficiency of vaporisers of binary geothermal plants. Both products enable a compact heat-exchanger design. The surface structure of the tube enhances the effect of nucleate boiling, thus intensifying the evaporation process.

For the different requirements regarding thermal conductivity, mechanical properties and corrosion resistance in the oil and gas-processing industry,

Wieland Thermal Solutions will also present the product portfolio of low finned tubes in a wide range of materials. GEWA-K, GEWA-KS as well as Trufin S/T and Turbo-Chil tubes are made of carbon steel, stainless steel and titanium. They are mainly used in coolers, preheaters, condensers and evaporators to achieve savings in the overall design, for example regarding fluid inventory, piping, racks and foundations.

For the segment machinery and plant technology, Wieland Thermal Solutions offers heat exchangers for a wide range of applications as well as double-wall safety tubes for the highest standards regarding equipment safety.

GEWA-safe safety tubes are used in processes like the pre-heating of fuel gas for gas turbines, for the protection against environmentally harmful and toxic substances and for the insulation of heat transfer oil in so-called safety heat exchangers. The tube-in-tube solution has defined leakage paths between inner and outer tube for the absolutely reliable separation of fluids, e.g. reactive fluids. This ensures highest equipment availability, efficiency and safety, as damage to inner or outer tube is immediately recognisable and can be fixed during planned maintenance. Good thermal contact of the two tubes results in very good heat transfer without additional heat transfer fluid.
