To accommodate significant growth this year’s Element Materials Technology annual Testing and Global Approvals conference will take place at the King Power Stadium, home to Premier League Champions, Leicester City, on June 28. Hundreds of delegates from OEMs and supply chain partners are set to attend tailored sessions on commercial and technical issues in industry.

This year’s event is set against the backdrop of the most significant changes to CE Marking legislation in a generation, which will fundamentally alter the process for the design and manufacture of electronics products, and certification of those products for import and export within EU member states.

Independent research conducted by Element Materials Technology highlights that up to 75 per cent of those affected by the 2016 CE Marking changes are not confident about what they mean for their business, underlining the critical requirement for the Element conference.

The Testing and Global Approvals conference addresses these landmark changes within the industry, with Element’s Engaged Experts set to deliver sessions on the new changes in CE Marking, and the related changes to the RED (Radio Equipment Directive).

There will be a full program of sessions on additional topics including Environmental testing and Radio testing, with dedicated Aerospace- and Defence-specific sessions throughout the day.

Rick Sluiters, Element’s Executive Vice President, Aerospace, comments: “We eagerly anticipate this year’s event, which will address the significant changes to CE Marking and related approvals legislation that have taken place in 2016 so far. We will also be highlighting the significant expansion of our technical capability and geographic footprint, following Element’s acquisition of TRaC Global in 2015, allowing us to deliver industry-leading PQT capabilities in EMC testing for clients in Aerospace and Defence sectors.
