At Southern Manufacturing 2015, Harwin will be exhibiting its two latest products: the M300 durable power connector family and the EZ-Shield Cans. The knowledgeable Harwin team will be on hand throughout the show on Stand E110 to discuss customer requirements and its interconnect and PCB hardware product portfolios.
The M300 high-density interconnects can handle currents up to 10A and temperatures from -65 to +175°C, making them suited for rugged environments including defence and commercial aircraft, industrial, oil and gas exploration, satellites and UAVs. Based on a 3mm pitch, Harwin says that the M300 family can withstand more than twice the number of mating operations than previous-gen products.
Harwin’s EZ-Shield Cans provide EMC protection to sensitive electronics. Simply pressed onto pre-positioned surface-mounted EZ-Shield Clips, these save expensive and labour-intensive secondary assembly and facilitate re-work.
Design engineers often have to order bespoke cans during development, without being sure of their eventual requirement. The EZ-Shield Cans kit provides a low-cost, time-saving DIY alternative: two supplied nickel silver sheets are pre-scribed on a 5mm grid so engineers can cut and form EZ-Shield Cans to the desired size on the spot. Instructions and a quantity of EZ-Shield Clips are also included.
