APLEX exhibits industrial-grade embedded computing systems

APLEX Technology will be showcasing a variety of industrial-grade embedded computing systems and board solutions at SPS IPC Drives 2014, which takes place from 25th to 27th November. The company will be situated in Booth 200, Hall 8.

With the increasing demands of mobile devices in enterprise markets, APLEX expands its offerings into rugged mobile computers and will unveil its first tablet PC and handheld devices at SPS 2014. Targeting mobile workers in law enforcement, medical, logistics, retail, manufacturing and field service sectors, APLEX’s rugged mobile computers are IP rated, resistant to vibration and shock and provide seamless communication. The computers are offered with WiFi/BT/GPS and a storage capacity that supports the proliferation of mobile devices with industrial grade features. The company’s tablet PC is offered with a 10.12” LCD, while its handheld devices are offered with a 5.3” LCD. 

In addition to the rugged mobile computers, APLEX has been developing vertical applications, such as marine/vehicle management and rolling stock. The company’s marine PC, which meets DNV standards and is IEC 60945 certified, targets navigation at sea and is offered with a 12.1 or 19” LCD. EN50155 certified, APLEX’s railway box PC ensures rolling stock safety and helps drivers stay informed with the train status. The company’s vehicle panel PC, which meets MIL810F/IEC60068-2-27 standards, features communication functions including WiFi/GPS/3.5G/BT to ensure real-time updates.

APLEX is known for manufacturing its products using stainless steel to enable resistance, low permeability and robustness. The APLEX AEx-P526 is specially-designed to operate under the ATEXT 95-n/EN60079-11 standard, along with M12 connectors and total IP65 protection. In addition to stainless steel panel PCs, the company will be showcasing its ACS-2702 stainless steel box PC, which is designed to meet today’s demanding requirements and are scalable for any space or application.

APLEX’s HMI can be categorised into PC-based and ARM-based lineups. The ARCHMI series features diverse computing performance, ranging from Intel Atom/Celeron Cedar/Bay Trail and Haswell platforms with 7 to 21.5” LCDs. The APLEX ARMPAC series is ARM-based to meet the prospective mobility markets.
