Altus Group welcomed many visitors to the annual three-day Southern Manufacturing and Electronics exhibition in Farnborough from 9th to 11th February by showcasing its latest range of ”state of the art” manufacturing and inspection equipment, for the SMT assembly industry from world leading manufacturers.
The latest industry trends and developments have centred on intuitive 3D AOI and SPI inspection equipment, which advances the imagery capabilities of its 2D counterpart to provide high quality and accurate measurement, with minimum escapes and false calls.
Altus presented Koh Young’s Zenith full 3D AOI System at the exhibition, enabling visitors to get a first-hand look at how the system inspects and provides quantitative measurements of components. With the lowest fast calls on the market and practical production rates to reflect the beat rate of the fastest SMT lines, the system has positioned Koh Young as leaders in this innovative technology.
Supporting the electronics industry further, Altus also demonstrated Kirsten’s Wave Soldering System that uses innovative Swiss engineering and pioneering solutions for the traditional THT soldering process to offer unique functions to produce quality, longevity and consistency in wave soldering.
The YJ Link Board Handling module was also showcased as part of YJ Link’s wide range of systems, attracting a host of visitors to the stand. As the industry seeks to increase the level and rate of automation implementation to reduce labour costs in any end product, the high quality board handling products from YJ Link provides the ideal solution to this market demand. YJ Links stance is good quality of build and feature set at very competitive prices.
“We were delighted to meet many customers, and prospective customers at the show and we look forward to building on the high level of interest, particularly in Full 3D AOI, as we follow up leads over the coming weeks. I would like to thank you for your continuing interest in Altus and the products and services we provide”. Richard Booth, General Manager, Altus Group.
