Illuminated anti-vandal pushbutton receives UL approval

Illuminated anti-vandal pushbutton receives UL approval
CIT Relay & Switch has offered a broadline of sealed illuminated anti-vandal switches. Ranging in size from 12mm up to 40mm, the styles offer ring and dot illumination, the international standby symbol or non-illuminated options. Mushroom actuators along with raised or flat actuators give the design engineer a multitude of options. IP67 sealing is standard along with a choice of body and actuator colours including stainless steel, nickel and anodised aluminum in black, red, yellow, green or blue.

Heavy duty liquid level switch with glass sensor tip

Heavy duty liquid level switch with glass sensor tip
Developer and manufacturer of fluid and gas sensing solutions, SST Sensing, has released its Optomax Industrial Glass devices which are targeted at installation within harsh industrial environments. Thanks to their stainless steel construction and glass sensor tip, these single point liquid level switches exhibit elevated operational robustness. As a result, these devices are suited to applications where they are exposed to extreme temperatures (up to 125°C) and high pressures (up to 600bar).

No-neutral wireless wall switches for smart-home lighting

No-neutral wireless wall switches for smart-home lighting
Power Integrations has announced a new reference design, DER-622, describing a smart wall switch compatible with wiring conditions most commonly found in residential retrofit installations. Typically, smart wall switches with wireless connectivity, occupancy/vacancy sensing and/or voice control require a neutral return wire to power the unit, which is not always available in retrofit situations.

Relay from TE Connectivity is small, yet powerful

Relay from TE Connectivity is small, yet powerful
TE Connectivity has introduced the Potter & Brumfield Power PCB relay T9V series designed for electrical vehicle charging stations, charging cables and for photovoltaic inverter applications. With 40A / 250 VAC ratings in a small form factor, the T9V series relay enables PCB space savings and ultimately smaller applications. The extended contact gap (>1.8mm) provides better isolation and full disconnection of the grid, enabling applications at higher altitudes.

Mid-voltage range photorelays offer increased reliability

Mid-voltage range photorelays offer increased reliability
Two new mid-voltage, high current photorelays have been launched by Toshiba Electronics Europe: the 100V TLP3823 with a 3A drive current, and the 200V TLP3825 with a 1.5A drive current. The new products will extend the range of large current photorelays to replace mechanical relays, alongside Toshiba’s current 60V, 5A TLP3547. Toshiba is supporting and promoting the accelerated replacement of mechanical relays by applying its latest trench MOSFET structure, 8th generation UMOS, to realise output currents exceeding 1A.
