Designed to suit applications and requirements from satisfying aesthetics, to rugged, fully sealed washdown units, WASP has added a number of options to its range of moulded silicon keypads. Among the many variations offered by WASP are translucent pads for backlighting and light guides which can be designed to give low or high intensity light depending on the situation.

For particularly harsh environments where there is a possibility of airborne particle ingression, WASP can make fully sealed units as a complete front panel. Similarly, the keypads can combine gloved hand operation with low operating force requirements. Soft key designs are available for use in public areas.

Contacts in the keypads can be either contact pill or, where a more tactile ‘click’ is required, metal domes are used. Legends can be screen printed, incorporated into the silicon with inset colours or custom plastic key tops can be fitted. On board electronics can be added to ease board space in the equipment and software can be included if required.
