Two panels from Tianma/NLT, now available at Review Display Systems (RDS) incorporate Super Fine TFT (SFT) technology to offer wide viewing angles, without changes in brightness or colour.  SFT technology from NLT typically offers a wide viewing angle of 88 degrees, in any direction, and without significant change in brightness or colour. It also enables a stable grey scale, viewed from any angle.

The two latest panels are the 10.1-inch TM101JVHG3 and the 7.0-inch TM070JVHG3. Both feature 1280 x 800 resolution.

The 10.1 inch TM101JVHG3 features an integral projected capacitive touch (PCAP, or PCT) panel, with up to ten simultaneous touches. There is also an LVDS interface for low power operation. The operating temperature range is -20 to +70°C, making it suitable for use in a wide range of applications.

The 7.0-inch TM070JVHG3, also has a resolution of 1280 x 800, an LVDS interface, the same wide operating temperature range, and SFT technology to ensure a wide viewing angle without the user detecting any significant change in colour or brightness.

Unlike alternative LCD panels, where the electric field, or switching voltage, is applied to the cells in a perpendicular direction to the panel surface, SFT technology applies the switching voltage to cells in parallel to the surface of the display.

The liquid crystal molecules are aligned in the same, parallel direction, so that brightness and colour are not dependent on the viewing angle.

Both the 10.1-inch TM101JVHG3 and the 7.0-inch TM070JVHG3 panels are certified to IEC environmental and ESD standards.
