Once again GPEG’s product development team has found the answer to reducing the development time normally associated with designing a TFT into a new product. FDT-28ATFT and FDT-28ATFT-TS are integrated TFT display modules based around a 2.8inch TFT display with QVGA (320 x 240RGB) resolution and the powerful RAIO RA8872 chip. The TFT module is mounted on a PCB together with the RAIO RA8872 and includes a touch screen controller plus a PWM driving circuit for the LED backlight.
Features:
8080/6800 MCU Interface
Text/Graphic mixed mode
Low power sleep mode
Automatic initialisation at power up
Embedded 10Kb Character ROM per ISO8859 with cursor
Screen display rotation
Vertical rotation of selected font
256 User defined 8x16 characters
32 User defined graphic patterns
Font enlargement x1, x2, x3, x4, horizontal or vertical
Auto initialisation
Embedded 4-Wire Touch Panel Controller
Embedded PWM control and LED driving circuit for backlight
The embedded CGROM is capable of displaying alphanumeric characters to International Standard ISO 8859.

For graphic usage the GSE (Geometric Speed-up Engine) provides the user an easy way to draw programmable geometric shapes by hardware, ie lines, squares and circles. Further functions include screen rotation, scrolling, graphic patterns, a 2-layer mixed display and a font enlargement function of up to four times.
By embedding these functions into the iTFT displays GPEG’s engineers have ensured that the user achieves an easy to use, low cost, high performance system which will save a large amount of software effort and time during the products development schedule.
