MMD has announced its presence at this year’s gamescom. MMD introduced the very first monitor specifically aimed at console gamers, with the debut of the 43in UHD monitor Philips 436M6VBPAB from the Momentum line. The 436M6VBPAB is the world’s first monitor that was certified to comply with VESA DisplayHDR 1000, meaning the monitor achieves a peak brightness level of 1000 nits.

It is also equipped with a 4K resolution VA panel with 10bit colour depth and a high contrast ratio (3000:1), and Quantum Dot technology for vibrant and realistic colours.

For a smooth gaming experience whether using a console or a PC, the 436M6VBPAB boasts low input lag, 4ms response time and FreeSync, while also featuring Ambiglow lighting for more immersion, USB-C connectivity and Philips EasyLink remote control for increased functionality.

Gamescom 2017 attracted approximately 355,000 visitors and broke its visitor record, with 919 companies from 54 countries presenting their brand-new games, hardware and accessories.

This year’s gamescom will take place 21st to 25th August 2018 at the Cologne Exhibition Centre. On the first day of the event, 21st August, gamescom 2018 will be open for trade visitors and the media only, and from 22nd August all other visitors will be welcomed also.

Journalists can meet MMD representatives for talks and/or interviews in the business area in Hall 2.2, Stand B 69/A 60 and have a hands-on experience with the Philips 436M6VBPAB.
