Display specialist and brand license partner for Philips monitors, MMD, has announced the imminent release of the Philips 241B7QGJEB Full HD monitor. This 24" (23.8”) LCD monitor offers ecologically-minded professionals a tool for boosting performance at work while respecting the environment.

In addition to its energy efficiency, fully recyclable packaging, and compliance with multiple international environmental standards, the Philips 241B7QGJEB offers users a full range of high-performance and intelligent ergonomic features. These include Full HD and IPS technology, SmartImage, SmartContrast, and SmartResponse, the USB 3.0 standard, integrated speakers, and the SmartErgo base, which together aim to ensure complete user comfort and convenience.

The Philips 241B7QGJEB monitor supports Philips’ long-standing commitment to sustainability and the environment. Composed of lightweight, 85% post-consumer recycled plastics with TCO Certified Edge, the Philips 241B7QGJEB is free of harmful substances such as lead, mercury, halogen, and PVC/BFR. In addition, all plastic body parts, metal chassis parts, and packing materials are recyclable. This Philips monitor thus supports the circular economy while helping to curb global resource consumption and all associated transportation emissions. As a result, the Green Electronics Council awarded this monitor with the EPEAT ecolabel certification, testifying to its green design and performance.

Professionals in all industries want technology that works for them, and the Philips 241B7QGJEB hopes to offer quality and comfort in addition to sustainability. Full HD resolution and an IPS panel mean clear, crisp images that can be viewed from multiple angles. An ultra-narrow bezel ensures easy tiling, while innovations such as SmartImage, SmartContrast, and SmartResponse guarantee peak picture and video quality at all times.

Because long hours in front of the computer are often synonymous with fatigue, the Philips 241B7QGJEB tries to maximise user comfort, such as with an anti-glare, low reflection monitor surface as well as LowBlue mode and Flicker-free technology for a better visualisation while working; in addition to a fully adjustable SmartErgo base and VESA mount to allow users the freedom to choose a position that suits them.

Among monitor’s power-saving technologies is the PowerSensor, which determines the presence or absence of the user via harmless infrared signals and automatically reduces monitor brightness accordingly, which is responsible for as much as 80% energy cost savings.

The Philips 241B7QGJEB also features LightSensor technology that senses ambient light and adjusts screen brightness automatically, and a Zero Power Switch that puts an end to the latent energy consumption that can occur in conventional monitors even when switched off. The monitor consumption is 11 watts measured with EnergyStar 7.0 and the A++ energy grade further underscore the unparallelled energy efficiency of the Philips 241B7QGJEB.

“Philips is dedicated to providing users with high-performance technology that combines innovation with sustainability. The Philips 241B7QGJEB is the ideal choice for professionals seeking to improve their productivity in a responsible, ecological way,” said Stefan Sommer, Director of Marketing & Business Management Europe at MMD.

The Philips 241B7QGJEB debuts in January 2019 with an RRP of £209.
