A range of corded compact keyboards designed for situations where desktop space is very tight has been launched by CHERRY. The new CHERRY XS keyboards have a compact footprint and low profile, yet are tough enough to withstand continuous daily use, with a long operating life in excess of 20 million key strokes. The CHERRY XS range has standardized measurements across all three models – 374 x 139 x 18mm – and is also lightweight at only 550g. As well as conventional desktop usage, the XS range particularly suits 19” applications such as server racks in datacomms rooms.
CHERRY XS Complete with separate number block; CHERRY XS Trackball; and CHERRY XS Touchpad.

There are three models in the CHERRY XS range – The XS Complete Keyboard, the XS Trackball Keyboard and the XS Touchpad Keyboard. As its name implies, the XS Complete offers a full keyboard layout and separate number block, making it suitable for many data input applications where frequent number entries are required. Keystroke feel is precise and accurate thanks to each individual key having gold crosspoint contacts (CHERRY’s proven ML technology). The Compact XS features a number of freely programmable keys for frequently-used operations. User comfort is assured thanks to two detachable feet which are used for adjusting the tilt of the keyboard, and a fastening option is available for permanent installation. Set up is simply Plug and Play straight out of the box with no special software required. Available in light grey or black, with a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty.
