Devlin Electronics unveil a new backlit keyboard ideal for low light environments, specifically broadcast applications. The KMX-083L harnesses unique technology pioneered by Devlin. The use of high intensity LEDs combined with specially designed two shot moulded keytops, means Devlin Electronics have produced a backlit keyboard that offers much improved legend brightness and legend clarity.
The in-house laser marking of special keytops allows greater flexibility of key layout without significant cost implications. The level of illumination can be controlled on the keyboard or via USB/PS2 interfaces. While the use of multiplex technology means that the keyboard benefits from low current consumption and is compatible with a standard PC.

The new Devlin backlit keyboard is available in desktop or panel mount versions. As you would expect with a Devlin keyboard custom solutions can be created inline with the requirements of users.

Devlin Group Managing Director, Martin Baker, stated “When working light levels must be at a minimum while still maintaining user accuracy, a backlit keyboard is the ideal solution. The days of cumbersome lamps being awkwardly positioned over control consoles are coming to an end.”
