Anders Electronics has announced the availability of multicolour Field Sequential LCD modules. Designed to facilitate rapid migration to colour LCD displays, the FS LCD modules are ideal for white goods, consumer and gaming devices, and medical or industrial instrumentation.
Anders FS LCD modules are fully-customizable TN display solutions, featuring unique colour-changing segments without the use of colour filters, integral RGB LED backlight and controller plus onboard LCD IC, for easy microprocessor interface. Anders FS LCD modules deliver an innovative optical experience by using paper white background or black masking to create a jet black background. Members of this series have contrast ratio of as high as 250:1, viewing angles up to 60° left and right, and 6ms response time.

In today’s device market, the display experience is crucial to the quality of the entire User-Machine Relationship (UMR) – and a key product differentiator. In a market where iPhone-like interfaces are becoming the standard, legacy monochrome displays are being phased out. However, not all devices require the design and integration complexity - and expense - of high-resolution next generation colour TFT displays.

Targeted at device manufacturers who have traditionally used standard segment or low-end mono-graphic modules, Anders FS LCD displays deliver all the benefits of a rich colour interface, without the hassle and expense of full-blown migration to a next generation, high-resolution TFT display interface.

“Anders now offers multi-colour segment LCDs following the enthusiastic response from our clients to our fixed-colour segment offering. This new product line, priced at the same level as the fixed colour products, offers a low cost migration path from mono to colour - shortening development cycles and time to market,” said Rob Anders, CEO of Anders Electronics. “As part of our User-Machine Relationship (UMR) strategy, Anders is committed to facilitating an optimal user experience in all end products. By easing the transition from LCD mono to colour, we’re doing just that,” he concluded.
