Artila Electronics has announced its new SODIMM module based on NXP i.MX6ULL ARM Cortex A7 CPU core operating up to 800MHz speed with Linux OS. The new M-X6ULL is designed to meet the needs of many general embedded applications that require power efficient, high performance and cost optimised solution, as well as embedded systems that require high end multimedia applications in a small form factor, this cost effective M-X6ULL is ultra-compact in size with the form factor of 68x43mm.

In addition, M-X6ULL has 200-pins connectors to allow extension of more I/Os for peripheral signals like two 10/100Mbps Ethernet, LCD, CAN, UART, USB, SD and I2C.

Linux kernel 4.14 is pre-installed on the eMMC and the PREEMPT_RT patch provides a solution when real time interactive interfaces and connectivity are crucial requirements. The M-X6ULL equips 24-bit digital parallel display interface supports resolution up to 1366 x768 and the touch controller can support 4-wire and 5-wire resistive touch panel which brings powerful touch-screen performance to the embedded users.

Artila team provides comprehensive software packages such as PHP, Python, Perl, Node.js and Node-RED which are available for free, and users can find the updates from Artila repository by using apt-get command.

Moreover, Artila offers another solution to reduce the material cost, customers could choose a light version of M-X6ULL with the removal of eMMC and with a micro-SD socket replacement is available by request.

The M-X6ULL system on module is integrated with512MB DDR3 SDRAM and 4GB eMMC, which is suitable for the cost and power optimised general embedded and industrial applications. The major target applications of this module are Industrial HMI and Access Control, IoT gateway, Industrial control and automation and test and measurement.
