Kontron introduces the Kontron CP-Pocket/CP307-V, the latest addition to the CP-Pocket line of CompactPCI systems, which now includes a more powerful processor board for both outstanding performance and value.
The CompactPCI system with integrated Kontron CP307-V 3HE CompactPCI CPU board comes with the 1.86 GHz Intel® Celeron® M 440 processor. Its three front-access slots (optionally equipped with Kontron CompactPCI I/O boards) make the CP-Pocket system ideal for modular and configurable machine controllers or for the development of compact servers. Thanks to the front-access, CompactPCI boards can be easily swapped, thereby streamlining adjustments made by systems integrators and maintenance personnel.

CompactPCI boards and systems are ideal for high-end applications with high availability requirements. Broken down into performance ranges for classic industrial applications, Pocket systems keep application costs to a minimum by offering more convenience and a high level of investment security at standard prices.

Performance for the integrated Kontron CompactPCI CP307-V is provided by a 1.86 GHz Intel Celeron M 440 processor with a 533 MHz front side bus combined with the Intel Mobile 945GM Express chipset. Up to 2GB memory by one DDR2-SODIMM module with 533 MHz add to the performance and provide high data throughput. The CPU board is available as a dual slot (8HP) solution providing comprehensive communications interfaces via 4 x USB 2.0, PS-2 and COM as well as 2 x Gigabit Ethernet where high network bandwidth is guaranteed through the Ethernet channels. The graphics accelerator integrated within the Mobile Intel 945GM Express offers excellent 2-D, 3-D and video features. Connectivity via a VGA- and DVI-port enables dual operation mode. In addition, the Kontron CP307-V boasts 2x SATA-300 hard drives and a compact flash socket.

Kontron's extensive front-access plug-in I/O modules round off the diverse range of features that provide each OEM and systems integrator with exactly the right configuration for maximizing the life cycle of their investment.
