Interface Concept introduces two recent OpenVPX 3U DSP Engine modules based on the Intel Xeon processor D (code-named “Broadwell-DE”). This is the first product of a very high performance DSP module family based on this Intel processor. With this latest family of products, designers of high-performance embedded computing systems will be enabled to take full advantage of the unmatched performance of the Xeon processor D architecture.

These modules feature two banks of high speed DDR4 memory. A cutting edge bandwidth is available on the data plane, control plane and expansion plane. An XMC card expansion is also featured to bring the maximum of flexibility. Both cards have a core function FPGA for additional services and security enabling.

Both products use the IC developed UEFI boot loader allowing optimised PBITs, ensuring the shortest boot time and enabling customisation. They both take benefit from the fabric management software multiware implementing optimised services between PCIe domains (DMA transfers, Ethernet emulation over PCIe, management of shared memory, messages and semaphore).

IC-INT-VPX3d and IC-INT-VPX3e are designed for delivering high performance in the harshest environments including air-cooled and conduction-cooled versions.
