Hitex has adapted its tool chain to support Toshiba’s TMPM370 microcontroller series designed for use in high-efficiency AC motor applications such as washing machines, refrigerators and air conditioners. The TMPM370 combines an 80MHz ARM Cortex-M3 core with a hardware vector engine into a compact, highly efficient device that can simplify applications requiring precision control of sensored and sensorless three-phase brushless DC (BLDC) motors or three-phase induction motors.

The TMPM370 characteristics are supported by Hitex’ cost-effective Cortino integrating a complete development suite with HiTOP IDE, GNU Cortex compiler and JTAG debug interface. Cortino provides all standard debugging functions like source code debugging, hardware and software breakpoints, data watchpoints, single-step, register and memory view as well as flash programming.

For more demanding development tasks the “Tantino for Cortex” offers faster download speeds and adds support for the serial wire debug interface. Based on the Serial Wire Viewer (SWV) “Tantino for Cortex” stands out with access to extended features such as data trace, semi hosting or performance analysis.
