Debug support announced for µCLinux on Cortex-M3/M4
µCLinux on Cortex-M3/M4 microprocessors is now supported by Lauterbach's TRACE32 tools. The TRACE32 tools also enable the off-chip trace for Cortex-M to be extended from DWT (Data Watchpoint and Trace Unit) into a task-aware trace, which allows non-intrusive runtime and performance evaluation.
Software proves that it can cut Linux debugging by two thirds
Undo Software has announced that Mentor Graphics has purchased and is using its UndoDB reversible debugging tool to increase productivity and develop Linux code faster. By using UndoDB, Mentor Graphics has reduced the time spent debugging code by two thirds, vital in the competitive electronic design marketplace.
Open switch pipeline specification targets SDN application ecosystem
Broadcom has announced the OpenFlow Data Plane Abstraction (OF-DPA) v1.0 specification, software and API. Broadcom claim that the specification is the industry's first openly published implementation of physical switch hardware pipeline abstraction for the ONF OpenFlow 1.3.1 Switch.
Design kit delivers fast implementation of Gigabit Ethernet
Designed to deliver easy and fast implementation of Gigabit Ethernet in a broad range of products, a design kit has been announced by Lantiq and Würth Elektronik eiSos. Jointly developed by Lantiq and Würth, the Evaluation Kit paves the way to easily add high-speed network connectivity to an application or device.
CST STUDIO SUITE used to design microstrip patch array
For optimal performance of an antenna array, the spatial distribution of the elements as well as phases and magnitudes at each element need to be tuned. The design of the individual patch element, the arrangement and spacing of the array and the layout of the feed network are all factors that decide both the radiation pattern and S-parameters of an array.
Demo kit facilitates easy and fast Ethernet implementation
Providing an easy and fast way for implementing Ethernet in a broad range of products, Lantiq and Würth Elektronik announce a jointly developed demonstration kit. The Evaluation Kit eases adding Ethernet hardware to an application or device and provides all necessary information to understand the demands of an Ethernet hardware design.
Management system streamlines compliance for automotive suppliers
The LDRA Compliance Management System (LCMS) has been released to provide companies with the proper infrastructure enabling ISO 26262 compliance. The compliance management tools guide automotive suppliers to the high-quality standards demanded by OEMs.
Partnership seeks to streamline standards compliance
Aiming to streamline standards compliance for safety-critical application development, LDRA and Xilinx's collaboration will see LDRA's tool suite integrated with Xilinx's Zynq-7000 All Programmable SoC and the Zynq-7000 AP SoC Development Kit.
