Yamaichi offers HDMI interfaces for all five versions

The HDMI interface (High Definition Multimedia Interface) is a well-known product on the market. First developed in 2004, it has already moved up to specification 2.0a and is available in a total of five different versions/types. Versions A, B and C are the older connector type standards. The base version A has 19 contacts, version B (on request) is for high-resolution transmission with 29 contacts and C is the 19-pin mini-version.

CAT6A expands Yamaichi's M12 & push-pull connector offering

Yamaichi Electronics continues build out its Y-Circ M M12 product series and Y-Circ P push-pull circular connector series with a CAT6A version in each series. The M12 in CAT6A is IP68 protected and meets the strictest quality standards for secure contact. The same is true of the CAT6A push-pull in IP50. This is particularly vital for demanding applications in industrial environments.

Connector features locking for the best possible vibration resistance

A new model in the Y-Con line of industrial RJ45 connectors from Yamaichi Electronics provides a special IP20 locking for the CAT6A version of the series. This CAT6A version is called Y-ConProfix. The plug and jack are both available. The stainless steel locking mechanism can easily be assembled to the Y-ConProfix without the use of tools.

UHD-II SD card readers support transmission up to 312Mb/s

Yamaichi Electronics has announced a series of UHSII SD card readers. UHS-II is the second version of the Ultra High Speed (UHS) bus classification for SD Flash memory cards. The FPS017T series extends the SD card reader family and also represents a practical extension to the High Speed product line, for which Yamaichi offers a variety of internal and I/O connectors.

HSD transmits signals using LVDS

  The FAKRA and HSD series from Yamaichi Electronics, first presented at IZB in Wolfsburg in 2014, has been expanded. The HF109P is the latest member of the HSD family, joining the HF107P, an HSD with a ring shield and the HF108P, an HSD with two additional power contacts.

Back wall mounted socket has anti-rotation protection

After the successful introduction of the latest Y-Circ P circular connector series with push-pull interlocking, Yamaichi Electronics has released a back wall-mounted socket. The ‘WD’ socket type is a natural for back wall mounting in combination with circuit board contacts.

SMARC test adapter allows for 100% contacting reliability

A test adapter for the SMARC CoM standard, which allows for 100% contacting reliability, has been released by Yamaichi Electronics. The adapter utilises spring probe pins, allowing very high contact cycles to be reached. The SMARC test adapter is a performance controlled system according to the Standardization Group for Embedded Technologies SMARC specification.

Connection portfolio offered with bespoke options

The Y-Circ circular connector line from Yamaichi Electronics includes Y-Circ P push-pull connectors (pictured below) as well as Y-Circ M M12 connectors. Yamaichi says this product portfolio makes it the only manufacturer that can offer complete cable assemblies with both its own M12 and its own push-pull connectors.

Contactor offers M2M evaluation bench & reliability testing

Yamaichi has released test contactors for M2M modules which manage global positioning and data transmission in industrial, consumer and automotive products. M2M modules allow the interconnection of electronics apparatus and enable automated communication to provide wireless control and real-time monitoring.

M12 circulator connectors feature screw locking

Yamaichi Electronics has announced an M12 circular connector series in different variants and codings, including A, B, and D connectors in straight and angled forms compliant with IEC 61076-2-101. The modular system permits the individual configuration of 360° shielding and vibration protection, enabling an optimum price/performance ratio, regardless of customer requirements.

Print contacts enable a safe fixation

Extensions and updates for the Y-Circ P product family are now available from Yamaichi Electronics. These include print contacts, connectors and 3D models. The company’s print contacts for wall-mounted sockets allow a PCB mounting with through-hole soldering for a safe fixation. The PCB drilling patterns are available in the PDF update of the Y-Circ P catalogue.

Push-pull connectors reduce assembly time & expense

Featuring a push-pull locking mechanism, a series of circular connectors has been released by Yamaichi Electronics. Due to a material reduction, the Y-Circ P connectors reduce both cost and space required. The push-pull locking mechanism pulls on the housing, allowing the easy insertion and unlocking of the connectors. At least 5,000 plug cycles are enabled by the connectors’ contacts.

Automotive connectors offer 50 & 100Ω differential impedance

Expanding its connector portfolio for automotive applications, Yamaichi Electronics has introduced FAKRA and HSD series connectors with standard I/Os. The HF106P series FAKRA connectors are coaxial high-frequency connectors designed for the transmission of signals, such as shortwave, mobile telephony, GPS or telematics.

Host connector series performs at 32Gbps per channel

To meet the demand for a faster form factor signal transmission interface, Yamaichi Electronics has introduced a series of 32Gbps host connectors. The CN120-038 series Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable plus (eQSFP+) host connector and its cage accessories are 100% footprint compatible with existing 10 and 25Gbps QSFP standards.

SD card reader accelerates into automotive market

Yamaichi Electronics has introduced the FPS009-2903-0, an SD card reader with features making it ideal for the automotive sector.  The FPS009-2903-0 is a top-mount version with a push/push mechanism. That means that the card is manually inserted, engages with a soft-lock mechanism, and is then be pressed again to eject it a predefined distance for convenient removal.
