Motion tracking with modules for harsh environments

Xsens has announced two new products in its MTi 600-series, extending the customer’s choice of rugged products with and without an integrated satellite positioning receiver. Xsens is adding a new GNSS/Inertial Navigation System (INS) module, the MTi-670G, and a rugged Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS), the MTi-630R to the MTi 600-series.

Cost-effective miniature industrial-grade inertial sensor units

The introduction of a generation of inertial motion sensors which hope to set a new standard in the market for their small size, industrial-grade performance and competitive pricing, have been announced by Xsens. The all-new MTi 600-series of inertial sensors, supplied in a 31.5x28.0x13.0mm IP51-rated case, produce roll and pitch readings accurate to ±0.2°.

Software provides API to support embedded development platforms

Xsens has released MT Software Suite 2019, providing for the first time an open-source Applications Programming Interface (API) to enable users to develop applications to run on many embedded computing platforms. The new suite is a fully upgraded version of the existing software package for Xsens’ MTi-series of industrial motion trackers.

Mini INS module offers highly accurate orientation

  A miniature Inertial Navigation System (INS) module which uses input from an external Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver has been introduced by Xsens, innovator of 3D motion tracking technology and products. The MTi-7 will provide an accurate, real time position, velocity and orientation data stream.
