Manufacturers of Bulk Metal Foil resistors, the VPG Foil Resistors product group of Vishay Precision Group, has announced the global market launch of the Alpha Electronics FNP series, a family of high-power precision shunt resistors. The design of the Alpha Electronics FNP series incorporates VPG’s own proprietary Bulk Metal Foil technology for a low Temperature Coefficient of Resistance (TCR) down to 0±1ppm/°C, depending upon selected model.

It features a scanner with 12 RJ-45 strain gauge inputs and four configurable auxiliary slots to accommodate signals from thermocouples, piezoelectric sensors (both charge mode and voltage mode), and high-level voltage sensors.

Vishay Intertechnology has introduced a series of vPolyTan solid tantalum surface-mount chip capacitors that delivers increased volumetric efficiency for handheld consumer electronics. Combining polymer tantalum technology with Vishay's high-efficiency MicroTan→ packaging, the T58 series achieves industry-best capacitance-voltage ratings in six molded case codes, including 47µF-6.3V in the compact M0 (1608-10) case and 220µF-10V and 330µF-6.3V in the BB (3528-20).
