u-blox Unveils The World’s Smallest Multi-Band 4G LTE-Only Modules

u-blox has today announced the introduction of the TOBY-L1 series, a new line of ultra-compact LTE modules. TOBY-L100 and European variant TOBY-L110 are ideally suited for tablets, mobile routers and set top boxes, as well as high-speed M2M applications such as digital signage, mobile health, and security systems.

Intel And u-blox Collaborate On 3G-Only HSPA Module

u-blox has reveal;ed today that the company is collaborating with Intel Corporation to bring a small, cost-effective 3G-only HSPA module to the market. Based on Intel’s XMM 6255 HSPA modem platform, the chipset will be packaged in a compact, low-cost module that maintains layout compatibility with u-blox’ SARA 2G and LISA 3G module series.

LISA-U260 and LISA-U270 UMTS/HSPA wireless modules from u-blox

u-blox has today revealed that it has expanded its industry-standard LISA 3G module series with two new products: the LISA-U260 supporting frequency bands II and V used mainly in the Americas, and LISA-U270 supporting bands I and VIII used mainly in EMEA and most of Asia. Navilock launches new generation of u-blox based GLONASS Receivers

Navilock announces a new family of GLONASS receiver products including the NL-662U USB based receiver equipped with a u-blox GLONASS chipset. Since the end of 2011 the Russian satellite navigation system GLONASS has been available worldwide. Similar in functionality to the US-NAVSTAR GPS system, GLONASS satellites transmit positioning data over distinct frequencies (FDMA versus GPS which uses CDMA).
