Trackwise delivers 72m multi-layer flexible PCB

FPC boards offer space savings in EV battery packs

Trackwise Designs has signed a three-year agreement to manufacture and supply flexible printed circuit FPC boards (flexible printed circuit boards) to a UK manufacturer of electric vehicle (EVs). The agreement has the potential to be worth up to £38 million over the period.

Trackwise Designs has acquired Stevenage Circuits, a UK-based designer and manufacturer of short flex and rigid PCBs, for up to £2.5 million. The deal enables Trackwise to increase production of its Improved Harness Technology (IHT), as well as expand its customer base and boost technical, sales, and operational expertise.

Multilayer flexible printed circuit spans wings of UAV

It has been announced that Trackwise has shipped a 26m long multilayer, flexible printed circuit (FPC), believed to be world’s longest, for distributing power and control signals across the wings of a solar-powered, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The circuit is one of over fifty supplied by Trackwise into this vehicle.
