TDK introduce the TDK-Lambda brand EZA11K-320240 bi directional DC-DC converters, suitable for use with energy storage systems. Rated at 11kW, this 1U high product will operate off a 240 – 400Vdc source from a high voltage grid and provide 150 – 300Vdc for charging lithium ion batteries. When grid power is not available, the converter will seamlessly transition to drawing stored energy from the batteries to deliver DC power back to the grid.

1U programmable DC power supply series extended with 1,700W rated models
TDK introduce of 1,700W rated models to the TDK-Lambda GENESYS+ series of programmable DC power supplies. These additional units provide the capability of operating from a single phase wide range ac input of 85 to 265Vac, rather than three phase 208/400/480Vac. Applications for these lower wattage supplies include laboratory use as well as component, automotive and aerospace testing, semiconductor fabrication, solar array and battery simulation, plating and water treatment.

TDK announce construction of a new £1M EMC test facility located adjacent to its power supply manufacturing plant in Ilfracombe, North Devon. Due to open in spring 2019, the building will house an anechoic chamber for onsite EMC compliance testing of its products.

Next-gen series of programmable DC power supplies extended
The introduction of high power GSP models to the TDK Lambda GENESYS+ series of programmable DC power supplies has been announced by TDK Corporation. This expansion now provides 2U high 10kW and 3U high 15kW versions with output voltages and currents of up to 0 10V/1,500A to 0-600V/25.5A.

Sensor programming tool designed for Hall-effect sensors
TDK Corporation has expanded its tool chain for the easy programming of various Micronas Hall-effect sensors with the Magnetic Sensor Programmer MSP V1.0. It replaces the APB 1.5 and complements the existing programmer line, which comprises the USB-Programming Kit V1.01 and the HAL APB V5.1. These programmers are especially designed for use in the development laboratory.

Programmable power supply series extended with five new outputs
The introduction of five new models to the TDK‑Lambda brand 5kW GENESYS+ series of high power density programmable DC power supplies has been announced by TDK Corporation. This expansion now provides incremental and seamless choices in output voltage and current ranging from 0‑10V/500A to 0‑600V/8.5A. Initially launched in 2017, the GENESYS+ provides higher efficiency, improved performance and is functionally compatible with TDK-Lambda Genesys and Z+ programmable power supplies.

Multilayer chip beads with high rated currents
TDK has developed the new MPZ0603-H series of multilayer chip beads for power lines in an IEC 0603 package (EIA 0201) that feature twice the rated current and about half the DC resistance of the existing MPZ0603-C series. Thanks to a newly developed technology for the internal electrodes, TDK was able to reduce the DC resistance to as low as 36mΩ, thus increasing the rated current to as high as 1900mA.

Latest patent on zero-leakage high-voltage analog switches
ICsense, a TDK group company, is a supplier of analogue, mixed-signal and high-voltage ASICs (Application Specific ICs). The company has filed another patent to strengthen its portfolio in analogue circuits. The invention allows users to implement analogue, floating high-voltage switches that don’t load its connected lines. Contrary to existing solutions using large resistances and thereby large time constants, this invention provides a solution with no leakage current and with a small time constant.

Low profile power inductors for advanced driver assistance systems
TDK Corporation has announced the MLD2012 series of multilayer inductors for automotive power circuits. The new components that are based on a ferrite core are available in a compact IEC 2012 (EIA 0805) package with a footprint of 2.0x1.25mm and an insertion height of just 0.5mm. The power inductors, which are qualified to AEC-Q200, offer inductance values ranging from 0.47-47µH and rated currents from 750-1,200mA.

TDK Corporation has announced the introduction of the TDK-Lambda brand CUS200LD series of AC/DC power supplies. Rated at up to 120W with convection cooling and 150W when mounted on an aluminium baseplate for conduction cooling, the series can deliver up to 206W for 10 seconds. The CUS200LD has been designed for reliable performance in LED signage applications, as well as industrial, broadcast, test, measurement and communication equipment.

TDK Corporation is presenting a new series of EPCOS transformers designed for an output of up to 60W, which are suitable for PoE++ according to IEEE 802.3bt. The new B82806D0060A series comprises four types with different turns ratios for output voltages of 3.3, 5, 12, and 24V. The SMD components have dimensions of 30x22x11.4mm and are designed for a wide range of operating temperatures from -40°C to +125°C.

Compact automotive feedthrough filter offers 1µF capacitance
Global electronics company, TDK, has extended its lineup of 3-terminal feedthrough filters for automotive applications. The new YFF18AC0J105M type is available in an IEC 1608 package (EIA 0603) with compact dimensions of 1.6x0.8x0.6mm and features what is supposedly the industry’s highest capacitance of 1µF for a feedthrough filter of its size. The component offers a rated current of 2A and a rated voltage of 6.3V.

SMD pulse transformers designed for Gigabit Ethernet
  TDK Corporation has expanded the ALT4532 series of pulse transformers with new types for Gigabit Ethernet and Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications. The new ALT4532P type is designed for emerging 2.5GBASE-T (2.5 Gbit/s) and 5GBASE-T (5 Gbit/s) LAN applications as well as 1000BASE-T (1 Gbit/s) applications with 600-mA PoE.
