Concept for a 152mm correctable artillery projectile being developed

Techmash Concern (part of Rostec) is developing a concept for a new 152mm correctable artillery projectile. Its key feature is trajectory correction in the final stage of flight, i.e., immediately after firing, the ammunition piece will move ballistically, like a conventional projectile, but in the vicinity of the target, it will use its own control system to correct its trajectory.

Agreements worth $1.5bn signed at ARMY 2018

  Enterprises of State Corporation Rostec has signed agreements for the amount of over $1.5bn at the International Military-Technical Forum, Army 2018. This is over two times more than the amount of agreements signed last year, at Army 2017.

Chameleon helmet to equip the ‘soldier of the future’ at Army 2018

Rostec has presented a camouflage coating for military vehicles and soldiers' equipment able to mimic the colour of the environment at the Army 2018 forum. The company illustrated the possibilities of the material with a soldier's helmet made for the advanced, third-gen equipment Ratnik.

Rostec to present a record number of exhibits at Army 2018

Rostec will present more than 450 models of weapons and new developments at the Army 2018 Forum that is due to take place in Kubinka in the Moscow Region. The models include an upgraded line of attack helicopters, tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, anti-aircraft missile systems and shells, new types of small arms, communication equipment, electronic warfare devices and much more.

Astronomical optics at the largest telescope in Eurasia

Rostec has completed the installation of a mirror at the Large Altazimuth Telescope (BTA) in the Special Astrophysical Observatory of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SAO RAS) in Karachay-Cherkessia. The telescope with updated astronomical optics, which increase the range of observations 1.5 times, will begin working this fall. The key element of BTA installed by Rostec experts is a mirror with a diameter of 6m.
