40 & 65W power supplies are medical-certified

RECOM extends its portfolio of medical-certified power supplies with two series: the RACM40 and RACM65. Offering 40 and 65W of power respectively, these compact and highly efficient power supplies are available either as open-frame or in a semi-enclosed case. All modules of the RACM family are equipped with two independent protective measures for maximum patient protection (2xMOPP) - a must for safety in medical technology.

1W DC/DC converters provide 6.4kVDC isolation

Offering up to 6.4kVDC isolation between the input and output for 1 second, two series of 1W DC/DC converters have been unveiled by RECOM. Power modules operate in freezing temperatures

RECOM has launched its latest generation of low-power modules with rated outputs of 2 or 3W respectively. One of the main added features is the extended operating temperature range, allowing the RAC02-SE/277 and RAC03-SE/277 series to be used in areas where temperatures drop as low as -40°C. The 2W module is now also available with cables.

COB LED driver suits a wide range of applications

The RCOB LED driver series from RECOM has specifically been developed to meet the requirements of Chip-On-Board (COB) LEDs. The driver series includes 11 models with output voltages between 25 and 44VDC and constant output currents of 350 to 1050mA, thus offering a suitable driver for virtually any application.

Semi-enclosed power supplies meet 2xMOPP requirements

Providing 100 or 135W maximum power in a semi-enclosed case without forced cooling, the RACM100 and RACM150 AC/DC power supplies have been unveiled by RECOM. The space saving 3x2 or 4x2" modules offer 4kVAC reinforced isolation between input and output, 1.5kVAC between output and case and meet the requirements for medical applications with patient contact (2xMOPP, 8mm creepage & clearance and 250VAC working voltage).

DIN-rail AC/DC supplies offer peace of mind

Dengrove Electronics has announced the availability of Recom's Redi AC/DC DIN-rail mount power supplies, with a seven year warranty. The supplies have integral high-reliability components and are subject to 100% full-load burn-in test, the units offer a design lifetime of 10 years at 40°C ambient temperature.

Medical-grade DC/DC converters offer 89% efficiency

Featuring 250VAC/2MOPP certification, three medical-grade DC/DC converters have been introduced by RECOM. The REM3, REM6 and REM10 series offer 3, 6 or 10W output power, respectively, in a DIP24 case. Despite this compact case size, all series feature reinforced isolation rated at 250VAC working voltage, 5kVDC galvanic isolation, 8mm creepage and clearance and low 2µA leakage currents.

EMC laboratory used by customers & students to solve EMC issues

Recom’s recently opened headquarters has a well-equipped EMC laboratory, that can be used by customers and students to solve EMC issues in their own applications. The first projects have already been successfully concluded. One user of the new facility was a large international manufacturer of water pumps who needed to modify a product for EMC certification.

Open frame AC/DC modules do not need active cooling

  The RAC48/OF and RAC60/OF open frame power supplies have been introduced by RECOM, offering 48 and 60W outputs, respectively. The Class II modules operate over a temperature range from -20 to +50°C at 100% load and up to 70°C at derated load - typically not requiring active cooling.

LED drivers can be dimmed by analogue, PWM or resistor

RECOM expands its portfolio of dimmable LED drivers with the 25W RACD25-A and 35W RACD35-A. Both feature 3-in-1 dimming, allowing the modules to be dimmed with an analogue signal (1-10V), PWM or external resistor. Each is available in 1 of 5 different types of output current, ranging from 350 to 2100mA, making them capable of powering a wide range of CoB LEDs.

Compact wired 3/4W AC/DC modules feature low standby power

RECOM's low-power AC/DC RAC series has been expanded with the introduction of two compact wired versions: the RAC03-C/W and RAC04-C/W. The universal input power supplies operate from 80V-264VAC (115-370VDC) and are available with output voltages of 3.3, 5, 9, 12, 15 or 24VDC with 3kVAC/1min input-to-output isolation.

Compact medical AC/DC power supplies with 2xMOPP

RECOM Electronic announces the RACM100 and RACM150 series of very compact, high efficiency AC/DC power supplies designed and safety approved for medical applications. The power supplies provide 100W or 150W maximum power in a semi-enclosed case. Single outputs, ranging from 12 to 48VDC, are provided from a universal 85-264VAC input.

Switching regulator suits applications with few PCBs

Expanding the company's popular R-78 switching regulator family, RECOM has announced the R-78W which is intended for use in applications which utilise few or no PCBs. In LED lighting solutions, for example, the switching regulator can be connected in parallel with the LED driver to generate a constant voltage for a fan.

4W power supplies handle extreme temperatures

Operating over a wide temperature range from -40 to +80°C, the RAC04-C/230 series 4W mini power supplies have been introduced by RECOM. Suitable for worldwide use due to its wide input voltage range of 80-264V AC, the mini power supplies are well equipped to supply outdoor sensors or control units in residential as well as industrial applications.

Beware of counterfeit electronic components!

As the market experiences a current flood of cheap copies of electronic components from Asia, RECOM have warned of counterfeit products and an increasing number of instances of counterfeits of the RECOM brand.  Frequently, the original images are shown on the internet, but in reality both part number designation and logo are fakes. RECOM is working hard to track down the illegal providers and take legal action against pirates....

Signal converter for DALI controlled LED lighting

  Compliant with the DALI IEC62386 standard, the RELI-DA01/R signal converter has been introduced by RECOM. It is an essential link between dimmable LED drivers and DALI components from other manufacturers’ devices such as switches, dimmers and sensors.
