A range of DIN-rail power supplies available from Dengrove Electronic Components can deliver up to 50% above rated power, which enables equipment to operate continuously during short-term overloads avoiding disruptive shutdown-reset, and allows designers to satisfy high system-demand peaks using smaller, lower-cost power supplies.

RECOM claims that its new R1SX series have nearly 20% lower profile than the industry standard due to their inverted transformer design. These 1W DC/DC converters are suited for bus isolation and a wide range of industrial automation control equipment. RECOM's new DC/DC converters REC3A, REC5A and REC6A have a built-in EMI filter to meet EN55022, class A. Class B can be achieved easily with a small capacitor. The compact DIP24 modules (31.8x20.3x10.2mm) with 2:1 input (4.5-9VDC; 18-36VDC) provide a regulated 5VDC output and can be operated zero percent minimum load. The trend throughout the electronics industry towards ever higher packing densities has left its mark on DC/DC converters, as Recom introduces models with 20 to 120W output

The new 2W RTC2 series modules from Recom come in a six-pin, SMD, open-frame package with a footprint of less than 1/3 of a square inch.

  The RECOM R420-1.8/PL switching regulators has been developed specifically for supplying microprocessors from 4-20mA loop. Characteristics of the flat module include extremely low idle power along with high efficiency.

  RECOM new regulated 6 W DC/DC converter, RS6 series is developed specifically for applications with high-power density in extremely compact installation space; the series supply 2.7W per cm³, and will operate at full load even at extreme temperature range from -40°C to +75°C.

A DIN-rail power supply series rated at 120 and 240W has been added to RECOM's existing range. The power supplies support brief peaks of 50% above rating, and the modules can be connected in parallel to increase the output power available or for redundancy. The two versions operate at input voltages ranging from 85-264VAC for worldwide usage, and are equipped with an active PFC circuit for a power factor greater than 0.95. 

DC/DC converters designed for the railway industry make up the industry’s broadest portfolio of EN50155 certified products available on the market, says Recom. The company’s railway portfolio includes DC/DC converters from 8.0 to 240W. Recent additions to the company’s range are the RPA20-AW, RPA30-AW, RPA60-FW, RP20-FR, and RP40-FR.

A family of flat constant-current and constant-voltage LED drivers has been released by RECOM. These are suitable for standalone LED luminaires where space – especially height – is at a minimum. At 11 and 13mm high, these LED drivers can be used in concealed installation applications such as in furniture, unobtrusive mounting in shelving units, behind glass panels or mirrors. 

A series of medical-grade AC/DC power supplies offer full performance at elevated ambient temperature levels, for example in enclosures where forced cooling is not possible because of hygiene, safety, contamination or acoustic noise. RECOM’s RACM series contains 40, 65 and 100W modules which offer continuous output power with free air convection cooling. 

The RAC20-N from RECOM is an AC/DC converter in modular design for mounting onto PCBs. The compact 2x1 inch casing is ideal for use in harsh industrial environments. The AC/DC converter is equipped with a universal input for 90–264V AC, and is pin-compatible with RAC05-SC, RAC06-SC, RAC10-SC and RAC20-SB models for an easy power upgrade or reduced-cost version without other alterations to the PCB.
