Power-One Licenses Z-One Digital Power Management Technology to Murata

Power-One has announced that it has agreed to a license transfer from C&D Technologies, Inc. to Murata Manufacturing Company. The transfer of the license had been requested by Murata, as part of Murata’s purchase of C&D’s Power Electronics Division (PED). The sale was completed on August 31, 2007.

60A POL Module provides highest available current says Power-One

Power-One has introduced the 60A ZY8160, said by the company to be the highest current digital Point-of-Load (POL) module presently available. This fully-programmable DC-DC converter provides industry-leading power management capabilities with no additional cost or space requirements when compared to analog “conversion only” solutions. ZY8160-based systems can reduce development time, components, and PCB traces by up to 90%.

Inverter said to have the Highest-Efficiency of any on California's Energy Commission Eligible-List

Power-One has announced that the California Energy Commission (CEC) has added the Aurora PVI-5000 and PVI-6000 Series to its list of Eligible Inverters, facilitating rebates of up to $2.50 per watt of solar-system capability. These inverters are the highest efficiency products included on the CEC list of eligible inverters, 96% and 96.5% for 208VAC and 240/277VAC output configurations, respectively.

Sixteenth-Brick Provides up to 92% Efficiency

Power-One has introduced the HP600 Series of 600W rack-mount front ends. Power solutions are available with up to five outputs from 0.8 to 48V, plus a 5V standby power source. The HP600 Series is designed for applications requiring several high-current rails and can provide up to 80A on a single output.

12V AC/DC Power Supply Delivers High Efficiencies Over a Wide Range of Load Conditions

Power-One has introduced its SBLP65-1012G 65W, 12Vout AC/DC power supply. A quasi-resonant zero-voltage switching topology delivers efficiencies of 80 – 85% at full-power operation and at load conditions as low as 10%; providing significant energy savings in networking, commercial, and industrial applications.

DC Input Front Ends Utilize the same packaging and backplane connectors as AC Input Solutions

Power-One has introduced its DC input SFD550-12BG DPA/IBA front end. This 12Vout product utilizes the same packaging and backplane connectors as Power-One’s SFP450 and SFP650 front ends, providing customers with DC-input solutions that do not require any redesign of their existing AC-input racks or backplane connectors.

600W Hot-Swap Front Ends Provide up to Four Main Outputs

Power-One has introduced the HP6 Series of 600W front ends. These AC-DC power supplies provide up to four main outputs, from 0.8 to 12VDC, plus a 5VDC standby output. This multiple-output, hot-swap capability accelerates time to market in networking applications requiring several high-current rail voltages and/or instances where sufficient board space is not available to implement distributed power and intermediate bus architectures.

6000 Watt Photovoltaic & Wind Inverters Deliver Industry-Leading Energy-Harvesting Capabilities

Power-One has introduced the Aurora PVI-6000 Series of photovoltaic and wind inverters. These grid-tie products utilize two high-speed, independent MPPT (Max Power Point Tracking) channels to optimize energy harvesting in installations with multiple PV arrays oriented in different directions. The amount of available energy is also increased through the use of transformerless designs that provide up to 97% (96.5% C.E.C) conversion efficiencies.
