As    subsidiary of PT Pertamina (Persero) which established on 2006, Company engaged in the geothermal energy utilization sector under Deed No 10 dated on 12 December 2006 and received approval from Minister of Law and Human Rights Indonesian Republik dated on 3 January 2007. Since es   tablished until at this time, company has never made any name changes. Geothermal energy utilization in Indonesia has been started since 1974, with exploration and exploitation activities by Pertamina which identifying 70 geothermal areas in the archipelago, which can be utilized to generate electrical energy.
