New PEM SMTSK unthreaded standoffs from Penn Engineering permanently surface mount on printed circuit boards to enable quick attachment and removal of stacked components without requiring screws or tools. Their barrel design allows for a stacked board or panel to be slipped easily into place and then detached by simply sliding the component sideways and lifting it off.

PennEngineering has announced the acquisition of Whitesell Formed Components, with operations in Waterford, Romulus and Novi, MI, and Whitesell Canada in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada. Whitesell Formed Components, also known as FabriSteel, is a leading manufacturer of piercing, clinching, and riveting fasteners for the automotive market.

PEM TY-D self-clinching cable tie-mounts and hooks from PennEngineering create secure metal attachment points for mounting wires and cables to electronic chassis or enclosures. The hardware installs quickly and reliably in thin steel or aluminium panels, eliminates any need for screws or adhesives, and can be positioned permanently at specified locations and angles to promote optimised layouts.

PennEngineering announced that it has successfully completed the previously announced acquisition of Heyco Products. Terms were undisclosed and no changes are anticipated regarding Heyco’s operations, facilities, and employees. Heyco Products will continue to operate as a separate company under the PennEngineering corporate umbrella as the foundation of the new “Engineered Plastics” platform.
