ON Semiconductor will be showing a new product derivative of the AMIS-49200 Media Attachment Unit (MAU) at Electronica 2008. The AMIS-49250 offers additional circuit board space savings of up to 66% compared to the AMIS-49200, and is part of ON Semiconductor’s line of processing automation transceivers for use in safety critical applications such as oil refineries, chemical processing and water treatment plants.

ON Semiconductor Extends Current Range and Flexibility for Stepper Motor Designs

ON Semiconductor has announced that the company has extended its bipolar stepper motor control family to include two new Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) versions of a motor driver capable of peak currents up to 800 milliamp (mA) and for use with an external microcontroller for added flexibility. ON Semiconductor has expanded its portfolio of low dropout (LDO) linear voltage regulators for automotive electronics modules that require very low ignition-off currents. Qualified to AEC-Q100 and operating across a wide temperature range, the new NCV86xx LDOs combine high levels of on-board functionality with typical quiescent currents (Iq) as low as 22 µA.
