RCA chassis socket allows higher soldering temperatures

Lumberg has added a high-performance chassis socket, tried and tested according to JEITA RC-5231, to its offering, which is geared toward relaying signal currents in the wide-ranging audio and video-related fields. The socket will be launched in an angled design for printed circuit boards.

2.5mm RAST connector reaches 13.4N retaining force

Lumberg is expanding its product range with the 3517-4 RAST 2.5 connector model. When it comes to direct RAST connectors with a contact pitch of 2.5mm, automotive industry demand for better retaining forces and locking on the PCB edge is growing. With Lumberg already grading its products by retaining force, the 3517-4, with optional keying rib and closed sides, reaches an outstanding retaining force of equal to or more than 13.4N.

Lumberg signs SKEDD Technology license

Whereas to date Lumberg connected the traces ending at the edge of a printed circuit board with edge connectors, SKEDD technology now presents the possibility to connect printed circuit boards at any location. A solderless, even detachable spring-loaded contact in the PCB’s boreholes in combination with a possible locking mechanism on the contact base guarantees the safe electrical and mechanical connection with the traces on the board.

Power supply connector supports up to 10A

Lumberg added two models to its portfolio of DC power supply connectors. Geared specifically toward applications requiring high tensile forces which simultaneously rely on high rated currents of up to 10A for the low voltage range, the chassis socket plus its matching power supply is now available for the market.
