Lime demonstrate next-gen FPRF at Mobile World Congress

At this year’s Mobile World Congress, Lime Microsystems will demonstrate 2G, 3G and 4G wireless technologies and open source mobile communications systems for current and emerging applications. Lime will showcase numerous customer products and platforms based on its FPRF (Field Programmable‎ Radio Frequency) transceivers for applications including wireless infrastructure, SDR and TV white space.

RF dual transceiver covers commercial & military bands

The LMS7002M, a 2nd gen Field Programmable Radio Frequency (FPRF) device which features dual transceivers that cover the frequency range of 0.1-3800MHz, has been released by Lime Microsystems. Alongside the cellular bands used in 2G, 3G and 4G networks, the programmable, low power chip covers many commercial and military bands. Enabling flexibility, parameters such as gain and filter bandwidth are in-system programmable.

Open source SDR uses Lime Microsystems field programmable RF chip

Lime Microsystems has today announced that its LMS6002D field programmable RF chip has been adopted for Nuand’s bladeRF, a Kickstarter funded open source software defined radio. Following Myriad RF and Fairwaves, this is the third open source RF board to have been launched in 2013 and marks the technology’s move into the mainstream.

Interlligent To Supply Lime With Test And Measurement Equipment

Lime Microsystems has signed a deal with Interlligent RF & MW Solutions to use the company's latest test and measurement technology in the development of its field programmable RF transceiver ICs. Lime will use Interlligent to further its development of software configurable transceivers. Its current LMS6002D FPRF transceiver operates on all variants of existing mobile communication standards (2G, 3G, LTE, WiMAX) and frequencies (0.3-3.8GHz).

The Toolkit comprises Lime's configurable transceiver board linked to an Altera FPGA design kit via a purpose-built high speed mezzanine connection (HSMC) interface board.
