Lantiq has today announced that the industry-first Smart Home Gateway functionality will be shown this week at the Broadband World Forum. At Booth G9, this will demonstrate interoperability between heterogeneous wireless Home Area Network technologies used to control switches, sensors and actuators from multiple suppliers. The demo is a collaboration of four organizations representing all links in the application value chain.

At the Broadband World Forum Show, Lantiq unveiled the latest additions to its AnyWAN VDSL2 and Ethernet Home Gateway chipset family. The new additions to the AnyWAN VDSL2 and Ethernet Home Gateway chipset family feature the GRX330 communications processor, which uses a dedicated acceleration engine to maximize 802.11ac Wi-Fi throughput while keeping the CPU available for other tasks.

Lantiq has announced that AVM has selected a Lantiq high integration systems-on-chip to power its latest generation flagship VDSL2 gateway FRITZ!Box 7490. The Lantiq VDSL SoC enables highest data rates up to 150 Mbps and reliable broadband access performance, featuring VDSL2 / ADSL2/2+ capability and integrated support of ITU-T standard Vectoring.

Lantiq today introduced the industry’s most integrated and highest performance VDSL chipset family, the XWAY VRX300. Gateway designs based on the new chipset can reach data rates of 200 Mbits (two pair bonded) and up to 150 Mbits (vectoring) while supporting an array of home networking features, including integrated Wireless LAN (Wi-Fi), Gigabit Ethernet and VoIP.
