Kycon has expanded their USB product line by adding a new USB Type C connector. The KUSBX-SMT-CS-6-BTR is a six pin SMT Type C receptacle that is designed for power only applications. By removing the data transfer pins, this is an ideal cost-effective solution for designs where power is the only function.

By adding a Gen 2 version of their Hybrid USB 3.1 connector, Kycon has expanded its USB Type C series. The KUSBX-SMTTH-CS1 series can handle up to 10Gbps speed, offering what it claims to be significantly faster data rates than the standard USB 2.0 or Gen 1 products. It features a reversible mating interface and is designed to accept a plug in any direction which allows for easy and reliable mating.

Kycon now offers a shielded version of their vertical modular jack product line that provides more options for design solutions.

A low profile vertical mount USB 2.0 Type A receptacle has been added to Kycon's USB series product line. With a height of 10mm, the KUSBVLPX series is useful when there are low clearances between the PCB and I/O mating plane. It is a suitable connector for designers of products that have space concerns.

Kycon has added an upright HDMI connector to their KDMIX series, offering the same performance as the standard HDMI. This slim connector with a minimal footprint is designed for applications with limited space such as set top boxes, personal computers, digital audio devices, gaming devices and more.

Kycon has expanded their USB 3.0 product line by adding a vertical A type option, to increase design options. USB 3.0, also known as SuperSpeed USB, supports data transfer rates of up to 10 times faster than the USB 2.0 version and is backward compatible with existing USB devices.

Kycon has expanded their USB series, adding a micro USB B type connector with through hole side tabs. If stability is a concern for portable devices, the through hole side tab option is a great solution. The KMMX-BSMT35S series series comes standard with 30u gold plating and tape and reel packaging. Gold flash plating is available upon request.

To further expand design options, Kycon now offers a High Current Mid-Mount DC Power Jack. The KLDHCX-MM-0202 series is rated 5A, shielded, and available with 2.0mm and 2.5mm pin diameter. This mid-mount option adds more flexibility to board mount designs for applications like consumer electronics that require smaller, lower profile, and higher functions.

Kycon adds a High Current Panel Mount DC Power Jack option to their current series of power jacks. The new KLDPX-0302 series is rated at 5A and is available as 2.0mm diameter and 2.5mm diameter.
