JLT Mobile Computers has upgraded the wireless connectivity in its rugged computers. By integrating support for dual-band 802.11 ac, the company delivers dramatically faster WiFi network speeds of up to 867Mbit/s. This brings the freedom of Gigabit-Ethernet to the mobile environment, even in the harshest of working conditions. 

An emulator, designed for rugged computers, has been released by JLT Mobile Computers. Freefloat Access, developed by Freefloat, connects the JLT rugged computer to IBM mainframes (3270), AS/400 (5250), UNIX (VT 100/220), Linux (ANSI) and SAP systems (ANSI). 

JLT Mobile Computers is now shipping its VERSO+ 10 computer with the Intel Core processor option, providing more computing power in the most compact and robust form factor. Thanks to its powerful processor, the VERSO+ 10 can support a wide range of OSs including Windows 8.1 Industry, Windows 7 Pro and Windows Embedded Standard 7, and is designed for operation in harsh industrial environments.
