Suitable for use in harsh environments such as marine, naval, chemical, oil and gas industries, the Pisces waterproof connector range has been introduced by Intelliconnect. Conventional RF connectors are manufactured from brass and finished with nickel plating or passivated stainless steel. Such finishes are subject to minor degrading in harsh environments and can lead to reducing the connector’s performance over time.

Intelliconnect (Europe) announces the introduction of a range of cost effective, field replaceable SMA and 2.9mm connectors providing solderless attachment to  0.141" (RG402) semi rigid cables and 2.9mm connectors for 0.085"(RG405) and 0.141" cables. Customers will find the main advantages of these connectors are assembly time saving, repeatability and performance.

The manufacturing operations of Intelliconnect have been combined into one large facility, based in Corby, Northamptonshire. Connector manufacturing has been moved from its Chelmsford base where it will be joined by the Cable Harness Division. The new facility occupies 3,000ft2 and has an air-conditioned test room accommodating electrical and environmental cycling, mechanical inspection equipment and product test facilities. 

Intelliconnect is now working with 19 NHS trusts supplying high quality connectors, adaptors and cable assemblies for radiation detection equipment as diverse as imaging equipment and RF Ablation. Intelliconnect have a very wide range of UK designed and manufactured, high quality, very competitively priced medical grade Triax connectors available from stock.

  Designed for 0.141 and 0.085mm diameter cables, Intelliconnect (Europe) has introduced a range of SMA male RF connectors. The devices are suited for use in microwave as well as low frequency applications where size, performance and cost are critical.

The Cable Assembly division of Intelliconnect can now provide customers with high performance semi rigid cable assemblies suitable for industrial, defence/security and test system applications. Standard semi-rigid cable assemblies are generally of copper construction, offer low loss, low VSWR performance, are phase stable and can be phase matched.

Waterproof connectors, which meet IP68 even when unmated, have been introduced by Intelliconnect (Europe). The extended Pisces series now includes additional connector and cable termination options suitable for coaxial, triaxial and twinaxial waterproof connector groups. 

  At the Southern Manufacturing and Electronics Show 2015, which takes place from 10th to 12th February, Intelliconnect (Europe) will be showcasing its cable harness assembly capabilities and RF and waterproof connectors. 

The Cable Assembly division of Intelliconnect now offers phase matched cable assemblies. This allows customers to specify the electrical length in time or degrees at the frequency of operation for a specific cable assembly. Phase matching of a cable assembly is essential when connecting to multi-channel receivers as it is important for discrete channels to match and track each other over frequency of operation.
