Imagination Technologies licenses high-performance graphics processor core to MediaTek

Imagination Technologies has signed a multi-use license agreement with MediaTek Inc., a leading fabless semiconductor company, for a member of Imagination's POWERVR SGX graphics processor family. MediaTek will deploy the technology in its future SoC devices.

Imagination Technologies and Sorenson Media today announced that Imagination will include Sorenson Media’s Sorenson Spark video decoder in future versions of its line of advanced POWERVRVXD video decoder IP cores sold to semiconductor and consumer electronics companies. Imagination Technologies launches advanced multi-processor graphics IP family

Imagination Technologies, the multimedia chip technologies company, announces further details of the first POWERVR SGX graphics IP core with multi-processor (MP) core support. The technology, henceforth POWERVR SGX543MP, is being delivered to customers in SGXMP2 (two-core) to SGXMP16 (16-core) variants.
