The Harwell Space Cluster has released its ten-year growth strategy. The strategy supports the cluster’s ambition to become the most compelling global gateway to the space sector, making it an even more powerful engine of growth, innovation, and investment for the whole of the UK. 

As part of the Budget 2020 announcements, the Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak has pledged £180m over six years to the Natural History Museum to create a brand new research, science and digitisation centre at Harwell Science and Innovation Campus.

British Astronaut Tim Peake and Sam Gyimah, Minister for Universities, Science, Research and Innovation met with Space organisations from the Harwell Space Cluster to announce a new contract between UK industry and Space agencies and underscore their support for collaboration within the Space sector.

Experts from the UK’s energy industries and research institutions met at the launch of the Harwell Campus EnergyTec Cluster and the opening of the Faraday Institution’s headquarters. Both organisations restated their commitment to solve the energy challenges laid out in the UK’s Industrial Strategy and in the ongoing search for solutions to the world’s energy problems.
