In 2013, a U.S. government aerospace agency reached out to EIC Solutions to develop a custom solution to protect their laser telescope and data tracking equipment in harsh environments. Located outdoors in remote areas of the South Pacific, the equipment tracks and measures the presence of dust particles in the atmosphere.

EIC Solutions has obtained NEMA 4X certification for the full line of its ThermoTEC Class I, Division 2 Series thermoelectric air conditioners for hazardous locations. Previously, only the 400 BTU model could be used for both indoor and outdoor protection against environmental factors such as the windblown dust and water (rain, sleet, snow, and hose).

EIC Solutions has expanded its Protector Series line of prepackaged electronic enclosures with thermoelectric air conditioners. The new prepackaged DVR Cooler cabinet is now available in wall- or pole-mount models.

EIC Solutions offers a heating option for EIC thermoelectric air conditioners used in their electronic/electrical enclosures. For applications in deserts and other environments with wide variations in temperature, the addition of the EIC heater assures protection of devices and electronics that are sensitive not only to heat and cold, but also to condensation and the resulting danger of corrosion.

EIC Solutions has advanced the circuitry engineering in their cooling units to provide maximum cooling output regardless of available power supplies or the integrity of the voltage flow. EIC air conditioners run off either an AC or DC power source with consistently high power utilization efficiency.
