Businesses urged to reassess security after cyber attack

Distec adds a member to the proven Artista TFT controller family: the Artista-IoT for Industry 4.0 and the IoT. This new TFT controller is a BaseBoard with a socket for the latest generation of the Raspberry PI Compute Module (CM3). "The Artista-IoT is only a simple TFT controller, but the perfect basis for cost-efficient IoT and Industry 4.0 applications," explained Matthias Keller, Head of Sales and Marketing at Distec GmbH.

The TFT controller board PrismaMINI-HDMI-DP has been introduced by Distec. “For the MINIs, the positive features of the Prisma series have been supplemented by minimum space requirements and maximum cost efficiency," explained Matthias Keller, Head of sales and marketing components at Distec.
Choosing the right touchscreen
Touchscreen technology has come a long way since it was first used in 1966 in a radar screen used by the Royal Radar Establishment (RRE) for air traffic control. Despite it being bulky, slow, imprecise and very expensive, it was in use until the 1990s. Since then, consumers have come to expect quick and responsive touchscreens, which are increasingly used in industrial environments.
